Supply of medicines in Doon Hospital stopped. Do you know why?

The supply of medicines is not available in Doon Hospital. Patients suffering from it have to suffer. The story behind the lack of medication in the hospital is also shocking. In fact, the state government laid the condition for the company supplying the drug to the hospital.
That his annual turnover should be at least 70 million. Drug companies are unable to fulfill this condition and are not interested in supplying medicines to the hospital. In such a situation, work is being done by giving extension to the old companies, but due to the upturn of about 20 million, these companies are also resorting to supplying medicines.

The state government has made mandatory payment of 70 million rupees of annual turnover of the tender agency for medical supplies in medical colleges. No drug agency working in Uttarakhand does not fulfill this requirement. Major agencies of external states who fulfill this requirement are not interested in tender of Doon Hospital for supply of some lakhs of medicines. Tender notice has been given at least three times in the last few months by the Medical College, but no one company has come forward to give the tender. In this case, the contract of old agencies is being renewed and medicines are being procured.

106 medicines are approved by the Central Government for free distribution of government hospitals. For all these medicines, tender is sought from the hospitals. Some companies tend to directly supply the drug supply, while some agencies contract to supply different medicines. However, there are few such occasions in Doon Hospital when all approved medicines are available here.

Usually, only 50 to 60 medicines are available in the hospital. Companies and agencies who supply medicines by Doon Hospital have not been paid for the last 10 months. According to sources, last year the payment of medicines was given in April last year, so far, about 2 crore rupees have been raised in the hospital. Due to lack of budget from the government, this borrowing is continuously increasing and companies are also inclined to supply medicines. Although many medicines are not available in the hospital, but the biggest impact on people is not having anti-Rabies injections. From January 25 this injection is not available in the hospital.

Even though repeatedly, the company is not confirming how long the injection will be done. At present, the company has given a date after February 12, about this, Doon Hospital's MS Dr KK Tamta said that there is a problem due to the condition of 70 crore turnover. Uttarakhand has many pharmaceutical companies, from whom we can take direct medicines, but no company fulfills the requirement of 70 lakh turnover. Still, we are providing more and more medicines to the people. Public help center is also getting a lot of help.
