Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) fire tenders and officials had to rush to Manjusar after the fire broke out in the Chemcon Chemicals Pvt Ltd. Officials said that the nature of the fire indicated that the chemicals stored in the unit were inflammable and could be hydrocarbons
The flames have been brought under control to quite some extent. The operations will continue till the fire is completely doused and we cool down the material there," said in-charge Vadodara chief fire officer Deepak Gunjal.
Sources said that seven fire tenders from the VMC fire brigade and two others from the central control room of the petrochemical industries in Vadodara were battling the fire.
