Pokémon GO has crossed over 75 mn installs

Pokémon GO has seen over 50 million installs on Google Play Store in just 19 days since launch, making it the fastest game to get to this number, according to data from SensorTower. If you add iOS and Android, the app has an install base of 75 million, another fastest milestone for the app. This when the global launch of Niantic Labs’ hit game is not yet complete, and is far limited to 32 countries. Data by SensorTower has shown “Pokémon GO surpassed 50 million worldwide downloads on Google Play alone over the weekend,” which is huge number.
According a blogpost by SensorTower, Pokémon GO is ranked number one for downloads and revenue in the every single country’s App Store where it has officially launched, which shows the power of this game. The game has also beaten other previous big launches including Supercell’s Clash Royale in the 50 million download race, notes the data firm.
The point is simple: Pokémon GO has reached this 50 million user base milestone very quickly, even when other members of the club took much longer to hit that target.
SensorTower’s blogpost notes that even Color Switch and Slither.io, two really popular games of 2016, took over three months to hit the 50 million mark. Candy Crush Jelly Saga, the recent spin-off crossed 50 million after a big advertising push, notes the data firm. Pokémon GO, so far, hasn’t relied on an aggressive advertising campaign to boost downloads.
